AjaxLife. Conectate a Second Life a través de una web, sin ejecutar el programa cliente de Second Life ®.
Algunas iniciativas no siempre vienen de la mano de los gigantes de la informática o de la empresa creadora Linden Lab. Este es el caso de Katharine Berry, una estudiante que comenzó a desarrollar el primer cliente web para Second Life ®, al cual llamó AjaxLife. Se trata conectarse con nuestro avatar sin la necesidad de ejecutar el programa para acceder a Second Life ®. Es decir, sin tener que descargar ningún software, simplemente con nuestro navegador web favorito (nosotros recomendamos FireFox).
Por ahora el proyecto esta funcionando con la opción de chat, ves a tus amigos/as contados/as, grupos, el mapa donde estas pero no puedes moverte o volar. Tampoco ves el sitio donde te encuentras en 3D. Para conectarse, abre el siguinte enlace: https://ajaxlife.katharineberry.co.uk/client/login.kat

I’m not sure, how can I check that? I may be wrong about the flash thing, it just doesn’t load properly. At the bottom of the screen, where it should say “first name” “second name” “password” etc it says (loading) then if I still try and log in, the page changes so the login details are at the top but theres no bar loading it up, and it says ‘done’ at the bottom of the screen. The new version of Ajaxlife is a thing of beauty and I just wanted to weep with joy as I opened an inventory folder and was able to give a friend information she needed from a notecard!
